What
is Alphafun ?
Alphafun is most
popular game amongst all, best way to improve vocabulary in a playful
manner. It is a game for all Age Groups. Everyone likes this game.
The game involves making meaningful words that exist in the dictionary.
There are simple and
strict rules that the players must follow (get the rules here).
Two to four players score points by forming words from individual
lettered tiles on a 15-by-15 game board. The words are formed across
and down in crossword fashion and must appear in a standard dictionary.
Details :
- The game is played by two to four
players on a square (or nearly square) magnetic board with a 15-by-15
grid of cells (individually known as "squares"), each
of which accommodates a single letter magnetic tiles.
- The game contains 100 magnetic
tiles : 98 are each marked with a letter and the point value of
that letter; and there are two blank magnetic tiles, which are
unmarked and carry no point value. The blank tiles can be used
as substitutes for any letter; once laid on the board, however,
the choice is fixed. The number of points of each lettered tile
depend on the letter's frequency in standard English writing;
commonly used letters such as E or O are worth one point, while
less common letters score higher, with Q and Z each worth 10 points.
